The TRIPOND multi-chamber filter system combines proven design, biological performance, and maximum reliability.
Construction & Materials
- Indestructible GRP construction — Fibre-reinforced plastic instead of simple plastic: virtually indestructible, weather-resistant, and retains its value. Includes pre-fitted pipework as standard for quick installation.
- Winterfest — No fine mechanics, no nozzles, no frost traps. The filter runs smoothly all year round — even at -15°C.
Biological superiority
- A stable ecosystem instead of clinical purity — The multi-chamber filter promotes a species-rich biocoenosis of autotrophic and heterotrophic bacteria — with significantly higher buffer capacity during peak loads than drum or fleece filters.
- The Japan mat as a bioreactor — Deep colonisation in a three-dimensional fibre network, protected from hydraulic abrasion. Simultaneous nitrification and denitrification — nitrate is actively degraded.
- Resilience in Medication Administration The robust biomass tolerates treatments with salt or medication significantly better than the fragile biology behind a drum filter.
Reliability & Economy
- No electronics, no sources of error — No sensor, no motor, no control board. Passively safe — in the event of a power failure, the filter will continue to run immediately upon restoration.

Why does a garden pond need maintenance?
An artificially created pond is not a natural body of water – it is largely cut off from nature's natural balancing mechanisms. Natural lakes are continuously regulated by groundwater, inlets and a complex ecosystem. A garden pond is not.
The consequence: deficiencies on the one hand – missing minerals, unstable water values, weakened filter biology. And excesses on the other – nutrients from food, fish stock, and organic inputs that promote algae growth and disrupt the balance.
Targeted pond care means closing this gap: compensating for deficiencies, binding surpluses, and keeping the system stable.
