Filter brush – Effective dirt removal and biological filter performance

Filter brushes are a proven solution for mechanical and biological water filtration. They reliably remove coarse dirt particles such as fish excretions, leftover food, and algae in the initial filter chambers, while simultaneously ensuring efficient biological purification.

The fine polypropylene fibres of the filter brushes offer a large colonisation surface for beneficial bacteria, which break down pollutants such as ammonium and nitrite, thus contributing to water quality. Thanks to the high-quality stainless steel wire, the brushes are particularly durable and resistant.

With a filter area of 160 m²/m³, the filter brushes offer high efficiency. For optimal filter performance, 60–70 brushes per square metre of filter area are recommended.
